Hi there, the required percentage in H.S. for applying to Jadavpur University for ENGLISH (BA) is at least 70% for general candidates. Since  you have a score more than that, you are eligible to apply. However, the seats are only 30 and more than 4500 students apply every year. You will have to score very well in the entrance exam to get through. Here is the details of marks requirement for each category - 

Department : English

General : At least 70% in aggregate.

SC/ST : At least 52.50% in aggregate.

Sports: At least 60% in aggregate.
