But it is only applicable if you are from sale state only, otherwise there is no chance. Also, the eligibility criteria has been changed for ranking, so there is a chance that previous trends may change.

You haven't mentioned if you belong fo Karnataka state or you are from any other state as the cutoff rank also depends on this. If you have Karnataka State domicile, then you can surely expect Electronics and Communications Engineering as the closing rank for State quota students lies around 15000 rank. But if you arw from other state, then it would be difficult to get Electronics and communications Engineering there as the closing rank for other state students lies around 6900 to 7000.
