Caste is a state specific subject and you are entitled of the caste benefits only in your state of origin and not where you are currently residing for your caste may belong to some other category in your domicile state. In case of confusion you can apply for Non Creamy or Creamy certificate from central government.But it will be valid only till the financial year i.e till april only after which you should renew it if you still meet the requirements each year.
