No you might have heard rumours about the college. Amrita college has a very good campus with good faculty and great placement record. My friend studied in this college and never said that, college is strict and like school. He himself felt that he enjoyed in the campus very well along with studies. Now He is working in top MNC which he got through campus placements.

Well one of the amrita scholar just wrote this :

"The Home pass/Day pass thing. Unlike other colleges you can't go out as you wish. You'll have to apply for a gate pass 24 hrs before the time you actually wanna go out. Only if your pass is issued you'll be allowed outside. If there's a need for you to go out due to some reason, you'll not be granted pass. You'll have to roam various academic blocks and get a letter signed (as well as sealed) by different authorities. Trust me it's extremely difficult(even if your reason is genuine)."

So this is the only thing which will be a problem and nothing else.
