Congratulations on Getting Into NIT. You need to use your First year correctly. Most students do the mistake of taking 1st year lightly. So focus on your first semester more then college life. If placement is your goal. Because First year is easy scoring where most students do the mistake. Maintain a CGPA of 8 atleast because big MNCs have there criteria at 8 many have less 6CGPA as well but 8CGPA will land you up on a good package.
