Hi there!
Enjoy your first year. And you will get enough time for your GATE preparation if you start from mid of second year or at the starting of 3rd year of your btech. Solved previous year questions topic wise and yearwise. computer science engineering have very much less seats in GATE.s job vacancy of a computer science engineer in government field is very much low in comparison to Mechanical ,engineer electrical, civil engineer.
