For category 1 the first 20k rank holders are considered for admission and based on previous year cut offs, you have a high chance of falling under this category. Again, based on previous year cut offs you might get a rank of below 11k and you have a fairly good chance of getting biotechnology in the category 1 counselling. All this is based on previous trends and this could vary depending on the diificulty of the question paper and the preference of the students.
