According to me the govt college that is providing a degree in astronomy and astrophysics in Chennai is UNOM ( University of Madhurai ) located in Guindy, Chennai.

Astronomy and astrophysics both are different. Because astronomy is mainly science the position of birth. And astrophysics is mainly the apply of physics and chemistry in space science to determine the life, birth etc.

So many colleges are present for this course in Chennai. Like-
