For admission in IIT, NIT, IISc and other prestigious institute of Indian GATE score is must and only way to get admission in these colleges for M.Tech

Some other universities take their own entrance exam like IIT ISM Dhanbad.
If you have qualified GATE than you can check previous year cutoff for GATE score in each IITs website.

Within May end or June first they will release notification for admission in MTech.
