There a few common things for studying in USA. You will need 2/3 LOR's which should be from your teacher/employer who know you well. Your GPA should be above 3/4. You will need to write a Statement of Purpose (SOP) which you will need to help tell the universities your past motivations and your future goals. Next the requirement will be an English Testing Examination IELTS/TOEFL for proving you know the required communication skills to survive in US.
