Hi

As per your query it is compulsory to have maths in your class 12 if you want to persue economic honours from du which is one of the most sought after course along with b.com honours

It is not necessary to include maths in your best of four aggregate but passing the subject is a must

Maths is the foundation for modern economic theories and in economics honours you will have to deal with a lot of it. Since economic hons. Has numerous stuffs and concepts related to maths it will be very difficult for someone to go for it without the basic knowledge about maths that is done in class 11 and 12. And hence no university offers economic honours course without maths
