There's nothing to worry about studying from old edition books.
The content of the old and new editions is almost the same.
There's no notable difference it's just that the new edition will have font color and font size changed, the previous paper added(which you too can get online).

For conceptual understanding and practicing old books are the best.
So yes, you can refer old edition instead of preferring the new one as there are no notable changes and you'll have to spend more money on the same content which you'll see in your old books too.
