• As of now, PTE exam is not acceptable for Canadian immigration PR process.

• IELTS has two categories – 

          Academic Training – This is the training for candidates who are giving  he exam to pursue higher education,  or some professional registration.

         General Training – This is the training     for the candidates who are giving the    exam for migrating or pursuing. secondary education, or any work experience to Australia, New Zealand,  anada and UK.

         The General Training version of IELTS  measures English language  proficiency in a practical, everyday  context and the tasks and texts reflect both workplace and social situations. 

         This is the version of the test usually required for vocational training, for  example in the construction,   hospitality and leisure, and tourism   industries.

• If you are applying for a work visa, professional recognition or for permanent residency in Canada, it is likely that you will be required to present evidence of English language proficiency. IELTS General Training is the only internationally available English proficiency test accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for immigration to Canada. To gain a Canadian visa, you will need to demonstrate your English abilities to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). 

• All universities and colleges in Canada accept IELTS, as well as all professional associations have set minimum language requirements for professional registration.

• Many of the registration bodies that accept IELTS represent the health care professions, such as nursing, medicine and pharmacy, where English language competence is of critical importance.

• Other professional bodies in particular countries requiring an IELTS result include accounting, engineering, law and veterinarypractice.

• A wide range of other employers from sectors such as finance, government, construction, energy, aviation and tourism also require IELTS.
