I wish to pursue chemical engineering since it's my interest line..but at the same time it doesn't seems much promising. what should I do?

Okay, i suggest you to go with chemical engineering as main stream and start learning some coding on other hand. The reason behind it seems not much promising is the lack of interest with the subject. Even cs students had lack of interest and can't do better. Thus, if the subject excites you, choose it as your first priority.
