Stethoscope is a medical device used for auscultation, or listening to the internal sounds of an animal or human body. Basically as a Pharmacy student, you will use it in your lab, but very less. You will use it just only for 1-2 times. Pharmacists are trained to use stethoscope. But they do not practice it normally.

And the case of wearing the white coat, is totally depends on the area/field where you are working. In some areas it is not necessary. But generally you will wear it very less.
