Yes, you can give GATE exam after studying MSC in Physics. The basic eligibility criteria for gate exam is completion or final semester of Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent. There's no weightage given to 12th score for eligibility criteria of GATE exam.

the basic eligibility criteria for the GATE exam is candidate must hold a graduation degree in engineering or technology or master's degree in any subject relevant science subject and candidate who are in pre final year or in final year of their qualifying degree are also eligible for GATE 2021
