As you know mathematics is one of the most communicative topics among science and technical topics . So, to study math at Basic level , like while you're in school, you need to study math with other required subjects combined of arts, science topics .

In 11-12 , if you choose science stream , then you need to choose Math for Pure science .

In UG level , you can study Maths hons with some required mandatory pass subjects and in PG level , if you choose Mathematics , more or less you can study mathematics only by choosing a special paper on a special domain of mathematics .

In B.Tech courses , Engg. Mathematics is included for first few semesters.

In Research level , you can totally be independent of studying only Math as it's a research level.
