hi,

see generally most of the colleges offers msc or mtech courses on gis and remote sensing technology, now eligibility criteria may differ college to college, for example vidyasagar university in kolkata offers msc course of remote sensing and GIS, eligibility criteria is Honours in Geography / Geology /Agricultural Science /Zoology/Botany/Physiology/Chemistry/Physics/ Mathematics /Computer Science / Electronics .

now there is many private institute which offers remote sensing course of 6 moth to one year duration. students from geography or other science background may apply for this. however the salary structure depends on the organization, work positions and years of experiences, initial salary for a gis specialist is ranges from 15k-25k .
