the minimum criteria for appearing for NEET UG is that you must be more than 17 years and less than 25 years for and unreserved category candidate and less than 30 years for a reserved category candidate by the 31st December of the year in which year appearing for the NEET UG examination
apart from that you also need to secure a minimum of 50% in each of aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology in your class 12 level board examinations for an unreserved candidate and 40 percent in each for a reserved candidate
if you have dropped one particular year and have just given your class 12 board examination this is the perfect time for you to begin preparation for NEET UG 2020
  • guiding you through the initial stages I would definitely recommend you to use conceptual books by HC Verma and physics, op Agarwal in chemistry and true man and biology to have a solid concept on the chapters
  • The important chapters in physics thermodynamics, wave optics , electromagnetism and mechanics in physics and atomic structure as well as chemical energetics and chemical kinetics in physical chemistry
  • inorganic chemistry you need to pay special attention to reaction mechanism is a nomenclature of hydrocarbons and carbonyl compounds and you need to be serious about s p d and f block elements in inorganic chemistry
  • the chapters of plant physiology including photosynthesis, animal physiology including respiratory system, cardiovascular system, nervous system and endocrine system as well as the micro biology chapters of leishmania and plasmodium and the chapters on biomolecules as well as recombinant DNA technology and genetics are of prime importance about from phylogenetic classification and animal kingdoms in biology
  • this is the perfect time for you to start making notes and either follow the guidance of premier institution like Aakash or Allen or you can also follow the NEET UG guide present on careers360 platform
  • try drafting of a schedule of 8 to 9 hours of study in a day delegating 3 hours in each for revising the chapters of physics and biology in the earlier part of the day and ending the day with chemistry with interspersed caps of an hour between the subjects and practices many MCQ mock examination on a time bound basis as possible and especially institution based examination will also give you an idea about your all India ranking and staging also not strictly adhered to Neet norms but definitely gives you a good idea about where you stand at the national forum
  • don't lose heart it is not the end but just the beginning and I really hope you will do very well I need 2020 just a visual and on the website by November and you shall get all the deadlines and updates there itself
Hope this helps, thank you

You are still eligible for NEET.
A candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2020. Upper age for candidates from General category is 25 years and 30 years for candidates from OBC/SC/ST categories.
