Since last year the pattern of result declaration of JEE-Main was changed. According to the latest pattern it is little bit difficult to predict your college from marks because NTA did not declare the marks obtained in exam, now they use to declare the NTA score or percentile.
Percentile means that much students have scored equal to or less than you. Based on previous year's trend if you have scored 240/300 than your percentile should be above 99 and according to which you have decent chances of admission to top NITs like NIT Warangal, NIT Surathakal, NIT Jaipur and so on.
You can also calculate your rank according to your percentile using the given formula :-
(100-your percentile) *869010/100 where 869010 is the number of students appeared in JEE-Main January session.
