Rank around 50k is decent and it's good enough to get a good government college but not soo so to get NIT.

  • If you are from General category, then it's not possible to get NIT at that rank, i would suggest you to take a drop year and fight back again for NIT, if you really want NIT, or else you can go for state government engineering colleges they are also good enough and they'll be totally worth it for that rank. You may also apply for central universities that take admission through jee main score. Or else there are also good private colleges to apply for.
  • If you are form sc/st category then there are chances that you might get NIT, not top ones but lower ranked NIT with low rated branches. But it's good you have fair chances, to get NIT.
