Maharashtra NEET counselling 2020 will begin tentatively from the last week of October. The counselling of Maharashtra NEET will be conducted by the Commissioner of State Entrance Exams. Maharashtra State counselling is conducted in two rounds. Seats left vacant or unfilled after the completion of the second round are filled in the mop-up round of Maharashtra NEET counselling. So let's say you get a seat in Round 1, you have 4 options. You can check them at our page: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/maharashtra-mbbs-counselling . But to give you a glimpse,

Option 1: You are happy with the seat allotted and you do not want to participate in further rounds.

Option 2: Satisfied with the seat allotted but wants to appear in subsequent rounds of Counselling. In such cases, you have to report to the College and pay the fees. But if you are allotted a better College, the seat allotted in the Round 1 will be automatically cancelled.

Option 3: Not satisfied with the Seat allotted and want to reappear for Counselling. For this, you need to rearrange your options during Choice filling.

Option 4: Not satisfied with the seat allotted and do not want to participate in further rounds of Counselling. In this case, the seat allotted will be cancelled.

Hello student,

Assuming you have Maharashtra state domicile, if you have been alloted a seat in round 1 in the state counselling procedure and it is a management quota seats, you obviously can choose for upgrade depending on the options you have arranged for the counselling process. Sometimes, certain state give you chance for fresh choice filling in 2nd round otherwise your once filled choices will be upgraded chronologically.

So, you have to 1st select gov. colleges in choice filling and select the option upgrade. And if you want to retain the seat you don't have to chose option upgrade, rather choose retain. and you also have free exit after round 1 no penalty charges will be there.

And according to your querries related to fees, when you will be upgraded then your fees will be upgraded for your gov. seats through the gov. process and excess fees will be adjusted. https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-counselling follow this link for more detailed information.
