Hello Anjali ,thanks for asking this question on this platform.if you applied for JEE exam phase and not going to appear in that still it will be considered as a attempt because from 2019 National testing agency (NTA) started to conduct exam of JEE twice in one year and your rank will calculated on the basis of your best score among both phases .thanks

No, not at all. It won't be considered as attempted. So better if you have fillup the form for January session then try to write the exam as well such that it will be considered as you attempted attempt.
