Comprehensive Guide: IIT's | NIT's | IIIT's
Hello,
To appear for JEE Main there is no minimum percentage requirement in the qualifying examination but to get admission in to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs you must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and scored minimum 75% in the qualifying exam if you belong to general category or minimum 65% marks if you belong to SC/ST category. But this minimum percentage criteria has been taken off for JEE Main 2020 and JEE Main 2021 due to Corona Pandemic. SO even if you have scored below 75% in 10+2 you are eligible to get admission in to NITs/IIITs/IITs. You can make use of this chance and prepare well for JEE Main 2021 upcoming sessions and JEE Advanced 2021 to get admission in to IIT. If you couldn't make then you can enroll in NIOS. A candidate can appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years and for JEE Advanced a candidate can appear from two consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination. SO if you enroll in NIOS in 2021 and pass you can appear for JEE Main 2021, JEE Main 2022 and JEE Main 2023 and if you qualify in JEE Main you can appear for JEE Advanced 2022.
