See your rank and percentile does not depend upon only on the no of questions correctly attempted but also the total no of questions, no of questions that are wrongly attempted. Also all the students appearing and no of correctly answered by them also matters in calculating the percentile and overall rank, so its not just a matter of your own attempt only.

But before this my marks made rank & it was visible what i had scored...after checking answer key i had 85 points ..from which 60 points where from chemistry ,15 where from physics & 10 from maths...so why my rank is high & last year cutoff of jee man was 74 and 74 score had rank 2lack 24thousand

Every year number of people appearing changes and so does the rank as well. Previous yr result and percentile has nothing to be done with this time they both are solely independent.
