Nowadays Caste certificate has oneyear validity and it may vary from state to state.

If you are OBC and you have certificate issued from MP then you will get reservaton in MP only and not in any other state.

JEE Main have reservation based on "Home state quota" and "Other state quota".

If you are from MP and you have certificate issued by MP govt. then you will be home state quota student of MP and you will get preference over other students applying at NIT in MP.

If you are not able to produce your certificates then you will be considered as general category.

It doesn't matter where you have studied and from where your education certificates belong to.The matter of fact is from where you are having residential certificate and Caste certificate.

You should go to your Block office for renewal of all the certificate that were issued to you earlier before the counselling starts.
