Getting IIIT campus is difficult for your rank. Maximum closing rank for IIIT campus goes upto 8k for reservation category.

Yes you can apply for NIT campus. it would be better to give top Campus like Trichy, warangal in 1st n 2nd position resepectively as they are will represent high priority and you may get a seat in later rounds of counselling process.

In 3rd and 4rth, you can give for NIT kharagpur, Calicut, nagpur.

if you choose for core branch like ECE, EEE, ETC or non technical branch like CE, ME, MME, Biomedical engineering, chemical engineering then there is high possibility to get a college option in 1st round.

if you want to get branch like CSE/IT or ECE then you have to apply for low rank NIT campus.
