You have to participate in an observatory rotation in a clinical setting before applying for a residency program. This allows International Medical graduates to grt familiar with US Clinical practices. For that you need to have a valid visa. There are 4 tracks within am internal residency program namely transitional, preliminary, categorical and primary care. You need to choose a program that best suits you. Ypu need to obtain a medical residency and for that you need to send a minimum of 25 applications.
