Dear Aspirant,

Both IIITs and GFTIs are reputed groups of institutions that are fully aided by central government and government bodies respectively. It will be difficult to compare them as there are some good IIITs and some good GFTIs in India.

According to my understanding, IIITs have good academic recognition and good placements and as far as branches like  CSE and ECE are concerned.
