Dear student,

If you want to give iitjee or jee advanced then you have to first give jee mains exam.
Now, for giving jee mains exam you have to paas your class 12th and for getting admission in nits, iiits, gftis by jee mains you have to secure atleast  an aggregate of over 75% in class 12th board exams.

Also if you want to take admission in iit then your class 12th percentage must be over 75%. So yes, you must secure over 75% in class 12th if you want a college via jee exams.
And note that after you qualify in jee mains then only you can give IIT JEE, i.e, jee advanced 2021.

For admissions into IITs, the candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

Minimum 75% aggregate marks should have been secured in 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. For the SC/ST/PwD category, the aggregate marks is minimum 65%                  OR

The candidates should be within the top 20 category percentile of the qualifying examination
