Hello,

You should register for backup exams, as they provide more opportunities for admission to engineering colleges. Good option to consider alongside JEE are BITSAT for BITS campus, VITEEE for VIT campus, and various state-level exams like WBJEE for west benfgal and MHT CET for maharashtra.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hello,

Yes, you should register for a few backup exams. It is a safe and practical plan. Backup exams do not disturb your JEE preparation. They simply give you more options if JEE does not go as expected.

Here are the best exams to appear for along with JEE 2026 :

1. BITSAT
Good backup for JEE aspirants. Level is close to JEE Main, and BITS campuses are among the best private institutes.

2. VITEEE
Easier than JEE. Good private university option with good placement records.

3. SRMJEEE
Easy to moderate level. Useful as a backup for CSE and other branches.

4. COMEDK
Gives admission to many good engineering colleges in Karnataka like RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT.

5. WBJEE
If you are open to studying in West Bengal. Jadavpur University is a top engineering college.

6. MHT CET
If you want colleges in Maharashtra. COEP Pune is a top option through this exam.

Other optional exams: AMUEEE, MET (Manipal), KIITEE.
Focus mainly on JEE Main and Advanced. As backup, choose BITSAT plus one or two state/private exams. Do not register for too many exams, or it may distract you.

Hope it helps !

Hello Team Believers

Yes, suppose you are appearing in the JEE Mains exam 2026 and want to take another entrance exam as a backup. In that case, it's a great opportunity for you to maximise your chances of getting admission in top colleges in India.

Many universities, like BITS and VIT, have a good reputation in the field of engineering.

  • You should appear in BITSAT, which is conducted by BITS Pilani.
  • You should register for SRMJEEE to get admission in SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
  • You are also eligible to give the CUET exam, and you are targeting some good colleges for the BSc course.
  • You should register for MHT CET to get colleges like VJTI Mumbai.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
