First, if you will qualify for gate examination with the Electrical Engineering as your course and if you wish to change this to Aerospace Engineering then you can easily do the course. You can easily choose your different branch for GATE. But you have to keep one thing in mind is that Though the students can switch their streams in GATE , whether they will be eligible for the admission in the changed stream in an institute or not is at the sole discretion of the institute.

Secondly, if you don't get qualified for your GATE Examination then you can still get Mtech in Aerospace Engineering. GATE is not necessarily required for MTech admissions in India.
