I'm currently pursuing my engineering in Mech.,I want to make a career in Finance & Management related sector.

I don't feel this will make any difference.
Mostly,the quantitative stuff of CAT does not have anything related to engineering mathematics in it.It includes topics of basic algebra,mensuration,number system and similar things which mainly check your aptitude and thinking skills.
So,prepare for it wisely and come out with flying colours.
