Let me put forward some points which might help you decide for yourself.
M.Tech is a specialized degree on a particular subject, which (in most cases) is an extension of what you have studied in engineering. But for an engineer, MBA is entirely new and has almost no relation with engineering (emphasis on the word “Almost”).
M.Tech curriculum is research oriented, whereas, MBA curriculum is a mix of finance, marketing, operations, analytics, HR etc. It gives a holistic idea about management functions.
Your soft skill-set takes a backseat in M.Tech. But you have to be a good “Showman” in MBA.
So, find out what you really want. I would advise that you work at least for some time after engineering as that will give you more insight to whether to go for M.Tech or MBA.
