Hello Purbayan,
NIT is a one of the top Institute in India offering engineering courses and therefore the cutoff of NIT is very high which varies every year based on number of students and their percentile.
Following link will guide you regarding how to prepare for JEE and which books to prefer,

However I will suggest to assign two days of a week for every subject and give mock test on weekends for the topics that you have studied in that week. Also don't keep any topic for optional.
Hope this helps.
All the Best.

Hey Purbayan!!

You have plenty of time but it does not mean you will start studying later. You should start preparing from now onwards.

You are required to study atleast 6 hours a day along with your school studies. You have to cover all the NCERTs .You can take online class , you can also download an aap -M learning classes .

You should be determined because oppurtunity to crack JEE mains in one go  comes once in a lifetime. You should prepare a time table and you must follow it

all the best

Hello aspirant

Now only start preparing for jee mains . First and foremost prepare 1st year syllabus and then go for 2nd year syllabus if possible go topic wise then you have a clarity about the topic

And concentrate more on chemistry and mathematics last go for physics because most of the students feel uncomfortable with the problem like paras in English.

Hope helpful to you

All the best

Thank you

Hello
Yeah
If you study from now you will get the good NIT for sure
According to me first of all study the NCERT books and later on some of the reference books and also slove the previous year question papers and also watch the videos which are important topics for the JEE mains and the efforts are good and if you qualified the JEE mains your having the chance to write the JEE advance also so prepare well don't waste the time
And another thing the cutoff will vary from year to year so I can tell you if you maintaining the above 90 percentile it's good
All the best
