Person targeting for GATE should have strong determination and affection towards the subject. I belong to EEE and a person of EEE unless he loves the subject he cant get a grip over the topics.

Coming to the preparation one should be very clear of the basics and as we write the GATE at least after completing the Bachelors, I expect here that, one will be clear with all fundamentals and if you aren’t then the first thing you should learn is basics.
