Any field of study where it is related to transfer of knowledge or reasearch or formal course is an academic discipline. Architecture, lat, Arts, Literature, Language etc are all Academic Discipline.

BTech is a professional course. In the options if you have engineering or anything of that sort, you can choose it. If that is not available, please post the options here and I shall be able to help you.
