Yes it's important for some exams which depends on i.p.e .
Few exams like JeeMains won't consider your marks.
If you want to get an college through few exams like kcet,ts eamcet etc... You need to give your best.

Yes, 12th marks would also be considered. So it is advisable to try hard so that you can get better 12th and KCET score but as per your above mentioned score, your rank would come under 45k tentatively. So I would say give your best so that you can get admission in your desired college.
