Yes, of course agriculture is best for career beacuse Agriculture is the science and art of cultivating plants and livestock. Agriculture was the key development in the rise of sedentary human civilization, whereby farming of domesticated species created food surpluses that enabled people to live in cities.

Generally, there are three sectors in agriculture where you can get job. They are:—

1.Academic sector

2.Governmental sector

3.Private sector. .

As far I know the highest salary if of an Indian Forest Service Officer (IFS ). It has a pay scale of 37k- 67k. Next comes Nabard Grade b officer .Pay scale 28k-56k. The third one is Agricultural research scientist(ARS) .Pay scale -16k-40 and grade pay-6k.
