According to me, Anamalai university is a better choice out of the two. It is one of the top educational institution and a "A" credit by NAAC. For M.Sc in Geology, I think Anamalai university will produce you with good equipments and training sessions. However, you cannot neglect the importance of Ranchi University also. It is also a good university with world class facilities. But, there is always an economic problem in every financial year in this university. Hence, I think you can choose the better college to study.
