It has one of the oldest chemical engineering departments in india  and is very reputed .Also the campus is big , and is located in the middle of Visakhapatnam which provides easy access to nearby locations like railway stations and airport .

Overall au is very good in terms of academics , and , placements and provide a good overall atmosphere for academics .
