Hello. Arun sharma's book on quantitative aptitude will surely help you with the nuances and tricks of all the concepts. It will clear your fundas to a larger extend. Once you are done with Arun Sharma's book, start writing online mock exams. This will help you tp practice this section with the time constrain and this will improve your performance.

Hello,
There isn't any compulsion but the thing is it will help you.I have personally solved that book and i really find it useful.It really has a good variant of sums and is considered one of the standard books for cat preparation.
But it's ok if you are following other book .
The idea is to practice a good no. of questions within stipulated time.

Go for the book you find yourself suitable.
