No, the syllabus for both the entrance exams is not the same.

The syllabus for the IPU CET Entance Examination includes the following sections:

1. Arithmentic
2. Reasoning and Analytical Ability
3. Business and General Awareness
4. English Language

Whereas, the syllabus for the CAT Entance Examination includes the following sections:

1. Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation
2. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
3. Quantitative Aptitude

Although, Arithmetic in IPU CET might be a bit similar to Quantitative Aptitude in CAT, Reasoning similar to Logical Reasoning, and English language a bit similar to Verbal Ability, there will be dissimilarity in difficulty levels. CAT is more difficult than IPU CET.
