Yes, in my opinion Chandigarh University's B. Tech in ECE is a wonderful choice. The whole ECE program at CU is industry-focused, which aids students in landing jobs in business and government in the future. The advancement of electronics and communications engineering is the primary impetus behind the modern information technology revolution. The finest place to study ECE is CU since it turns out qualified people who can work in demanding industries by doing basic and applied research.

If you visit CU before choosing this course, you must draw the following conclusions:

  • Chandigarh University's ECE department has industrial partnerships with businesses like Intel, True chip, Videocon, and others in its labs.
  • The faculty here supports both academics and extracurricular activities because they work together to increase the likelihood of receiving top job offers. Companies look for employees who possess not only the theoretical knowledge but also the other skills that can be acquired through extracurricular involvement.
  • The pro-vice chancellor of CU, sir, has a PhD in ECE, and there are a dozen or so other dedicated instructors who also hold doctorates. They hold workshops in communication technologies, physical computing, and robotics.
  • You receive rigorous training for company-specific benchmarks. It comprises a year of intensive instruction in soft skills, technical skills, and aptitude.

Therefore, how intelligent and motivated you are to take use of all these possibilities and facilities is entirely on you. You will get the achievement you seek if you put all of yourself into your education.

Hi Ashutosh,

To be Frank, GOOD ONLY FOR CSE (and for you, if you can compete with them)

Well telling dramatically when it comes to infrastructure and faculty, it is average. We can't compare it with LPU, SRM or any other big university but when it comes to a brand name CU, it lack's at large extent.

Well, when we say of placements then it gives you at most happiness, the placements at here is quite good for software as there come many branded companies like Google, Amazon,  Flipkart, dell, IBM etc and also major recruiting companies like Infosys, Cognizant etc. The average package goes here to about 300000 LPA.

Even CU is growing very fast and becoming no 1 university in the north side. Also, there are nearly 1400 students per stream, s o 1400 is quite a large number of student's with whom you will be competing. The teachers in the first year are not very good, but after you go to your core branch 2nd year the staff is well experienced and quite good.

The CU conducts various competitive fest and workshops. Also, the CU provides international internships with various foreign universities of USA, Canada etc. CU also has conducted tpp program which will be started towards the 2nd year, teaching the aptitude, C, C++ and various communication classes for preparing the students for gd and technical interviews for the placements. the overall college is good but also the attendance is the main issue in this university, the min of 75% is compulsory to give the examination, even if you are getting 74.4% you will not be able to give your final exam's.

But if you are thinking of doing b.tech from Chandigarh then you should first give preference to Thapar, ccet and pec.

Hope it was useful to you.

Feel free to contact us for any queries.

All the best :)

Hey Ashutosh,

I will suggest you to better take a drop and study well to get a good NIT as investing in a private university may result in some uncertainities. You will have to invest a lot of money and you may not get the brand value like NIT and IITs. So just make the right decision.

Good luck !
