Chandigarh University is far better University for engineering programs.After completing their studies, Every student wants to get placed in a Multi National Companies, Industries with a good package and Chandigarh University is the perfect University for all those students. Placement record of this University is pretty good. Few more things that make it different from other Universities and Institutes is its Industry Collaborated programs with Industry giants like IBM, Microsoft etc. Leading Industry giants teach and train Chandigarh University's students to make them industry ready. 

No doubt it is growing very fast and becoming no1 university in north side when it comes to placements, but only for software ie, CSE and IT. But if you are thinking of doing b.tech from chandigarh then you should first give preference to thapar as well then you may go to CU.
