No, coaching is not necessary for Upsee.
You can prepare for Upsee exam from home .
To prepare well for Upsee exam you should do previous year question papers with revision of concepts.
As most of the questions are very basic level they just require practice .
In Upsee there are very few questions which are concepts based like Jee main.


My advice do previous year question papers from question bank as many times previous year question repeats in main paper.
