Yes, Computer Science Engineering in IIIT Bhubaneswar is good.

The placement of this college is decent however it is becoming a good year by year. Recently the highest package that was offered by DELL was 24lakhs per annum which was offered to a Computer Science Engineering student. Many big companies like IBM, DELL, INFOSYS, HSBC come for recruitment. Almost every student who sits for placement gets placed in one or other company, if you will work a bit harder you can definitely get a good placement here.

As regards CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar, it is not upto its potential primarily due to the lack of adequate amount of faculty. We can't blame the current faculty completely as they are having to cater to more than twice the number of students and lectures as compared to the other IITs. Some more such issues may also exists which are hampering the development of the branch which you may also be aware of being a student of the same. I am sure that such problems and issues will be rectified in the near future.

And yeah I hope the placements of the first batch passing out next year go really well so that we can also establish our position amongst the IITs.
