In the GATE there is only reservation for ST / SC / PWD / OBC category student's only based upon the cuttoff. there is no as such home state reservations as far as it is considered.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such quota for M.Tech admission through GATE in NITs or IIT's. The allotment of seats is directly based on GATE score. Yes, you can get reservation on the basis of your caste.

There is no home state quota been provided in GATE exam in the form of reservation for home state students.

The college will be allotted according to the students GATE score and it is not applicable for any type of reservation related to home state.

After getting a good GATE score you are eligible to do your masters from premier institutes of India and this you can also apply for jobs in PSU through Gate scores. 

The job selection process in PSU is also not influenced by home state quota and there is no home state quota in PSU job through GATE score.

Gate exam has as such no home state quota you will have to compete as equal. Mtech is different from BTech so there is no home state quota in Mtech. Though if you want a seat in nits then you must know that many seats get vacant and colleges conduct ccmt do participate in them at last you may get a seat even though you have less score.
