Gate marks indeed have more value than pgcet marks. But the accepted rank will depend upon the number of students applying for it. The top 2000 ranks are saved for the students who have cleared the gate examination and applied. The appgcet topper will have a rank starting after 2000. No, the gate score is more valuable than the PGCET exam but upto certain extent. Your rank in gate is 60000 is not that good that you can enroll yourself into IITs. But if you are in top 100 in PGCET then you can accept some good college. But it is not gurantted. If could have scored good rank in GATE you possibly could get the good college. But do not loose hope, and serch for your interest and the college matching with your score. Go through the cutoff for the colleges of your choice and according to that process further.
