RIT, Kottyam is a good engineering college in Kerala. 

As per the student reviews, placement opportunities are mostly available for computer science and electronics.

Hostel facilities are limited. There are many PGs and hostels nearby.

Faculty is supportive.

Many sports activities, cultural fests and events also happen.

Government engineering college (GEC), Barton hill is also one of the top ranked colleges in Kerala.

As per the student reviews, it has good placement opportunities available. 

There is no hostel for boys. Students need to stay in private hostels. There are 2 hostels for girls.

Faculty is highly qualified and supportive.

There are many extracurricular activities also happening in the college. Many college fests and events also happen.

Dear student, GEC Barton Hill is a better option for EC branch in Btech. It has better placement opportunities and has good amenities and facilities for the students. The crowd here is good and comes from all across India making it a diversified college. You must prefer this over RIT Kottayam.
